Day 51 Kandhar Anubhuthi (Daily Divine Delight)
கந்தர் அனுபூதி – பாடல் 51 நாள் 51
மதிகெட்டு அறவாடி, மயங்கி அறக்
கதிகெட்டு அவமே கெடவோ கடவேன்
நதிபுத்திர! ஞான சுகாதிப! அத்
திதிபுத்திரர் வீறு அடு சேவகனே!
வேதாந்த்: அபூர்வா, நாம கந்தர் அநுபூதியோட சிகரத்துல இருந்து இப்போ தரைக்கு வர்றோம். போன பாட்டுல அந்த ‘மகா அனுபவத்தை’ அனுபவிச்ச அருணகிரிநாதருக்கு இப்போ ஒரு பயம் வருது. “இவ்வளவு பெரிய வெளிச்சத்தைப் பார்த்த அப்புறம், மறுபடியும் நான் இருட்டுக்குள்ள போயிடக்கூடாதே”ன்னு கேக்குறாரு.
அபூர்வா: ஆமா வேதாந்த், முதல் வரியே ரொம்பப் பதற்றமா இருக்கு. “மதி கெட்டு அற வாடி மயங்கி” அப்படின்னா என்ன?
வேதாந்த்: நாம வாழ்க்கையில தோத்துப்போகும்போது முதல்ல புத்தி வேலை செய்யாது (மதிகெட்டு), அப்புறம் மனசு வாடிப் போகும். அதாவது சோர்ந்து போகும், கடைசியில எது சரி எது தப்புன்னு தெரியாம குழம்பிப் போவோம். அதைத்தான் மயங்கினு சொல்றாரு.
அபூர்வா: ஓஹோ ! “அவமே கெடவோ கடவென்” அப்படின்னா?
வேதாந்த்: அதாவது, “இப்படி ஒரு நிலையில நான் சிக்கி, என் கதி கெட்டு (நோக்கம் சிதறி), வீணாக (அவமே) அழிஞ்சு போகலாமா (கெடவோ) ? அதுக்கு நீ விடுவியா?”ன்னு முருகன்கிட்ட ஒரு உரிமையோட கேக்குறாரு அபூர்வா.
அபூர்வா: இதுல ஒரு சின்ன ‘பிளாக் மெயில்’ (Blackmail) இருக்கே! “உன்னை நம்பி வந்துட்டேன், இனிமே நான் கெட்டுப்போனா அது உனக்குத் தான் அசிங்கம்”னு சொல்றாருல வேதாந்த்?
வேதாந்த்: கரெக்டா சொன்ன! அதுக்கு முருகனை எப்படி வர்ணிக்கிறாரு பாரு… “நதிபுத்திர”. கங்கையோட மகனே! “ஞான சுக அதிப”—வெறும் அறிவு இல்ல, அந்த அறிவால வர்ற சுகத்துக்கு (Bliss) நீ தான் அதிபதி. “அத்திதி புத்திரர் வீறு அடு சேவகனே”—தேவர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் கொடுத்த அசுரர்களை அழிச்ச மகா வீரனே!
அபூர்வா: ஓ! அது என்ன “அத்திதி புத்திரர்” ?
வேதாந்த்: இது, முருகன் “போர்வீரன்” (Warrior) நிலையப் பத்தின குறிப்பைச் சொல்றாரு. தேவர்களைக் காப்பாற்ற அசுரர்களின் அதாவது, திதியின் புதல்வர்களின் கர்வத்தை அழித்தவர் முருகன் என்று அவர் கூறுகிறார்.
அபூர்வா: தேவர்களைக் காப்பாத்துன அதே வேகத்தோட, என்னையும் இந்த மனக்குழப்பத்துல இருந்து காப்பாத்துன்னு கேக்குறாரு, இல்லையா?
வேதாந்த்: ஆமா. “அசுரர்களை வெளியில ஜெயிச்ச மாதிரி, எனக்குள்ள இருக்குற அறியாமைங்கிற அசுரனையும் ஜெயிச்சு, என் மனசு வாடாமப் பாத்துக்கோ”ன்னு கேக்குறாரு.
அபூர்வா: அருணகிரி என்னமா பெட்டிஷன் போடறாரு, வேதாந்த் ! சூபர்ப். சரி, இன்னிக்கி என்ன பாடம் ?
வேதாந்த்: இன்னைக்கு Takeaways:
- பின்னடைவின் பயம் (The Fear of Regression):
மிக உயர்ந்த ஞானிகளுக்கும் கூட, தங்களின் ஆன்மீக கவனம் சிதறிவிடுமோ என்ற அச்சம் இருப்பது உண்டு. நாம் பலவீனமாக இருக்கும்போது, இறைவனிடம் அடைக்கலம் நாடுவதும், “மனக் காப்பீடு” (Mental Insurance) கேட்பதும் முற்றிலும் சரியானதே. - ஆனந்தத்தின் அதிபதி முருகன்(The Sovereign of Bliss):
முருகன் போர்தெய்வம் மட்டும் அல்ல; நம் ஆன்மாவின் ஆனந்தத்தை நிர்வகிக்கும் “சுகாதிபதி” — ஆன்ம இன்பத்தின் அதிகாரி. - பாதுகாப்பிற்கான அழைப்பு (The Call for Protection):
இந்தப் பாடல் ஒரு கவசம் போன்றது. “மதி கெட்டு” (மனநிலை சிதைந்து) அல்லது “வாடி” வறண்டு, தளர்ந்து போனதாக உணரும் தருணங்களில், ஆற்றலை மீண்டும் பெற இந்தப் பாடலைத் துதிக்கலாம்.
அபூர்வா: “அவமே கெடவோ கடவேன்?” – இந்தக் கேள்வி எனக்குள்ள ஒரு வைராக்கியத்தைக் கொடுக்குது வேதாந்த்!
வேதாந்த்: (சிரிக்கிறான்) அந்த வைராக்கியம் தான் முக்கியம். நாம வீணா போகப் பிறந்தவங்க இல்லங்கிற அந்தத் தெளிவு தான் பக்தி. நாளைக்கு கடைசிப் பாடல். அந்த ‘அல்டிமேட்’ (Ultimate) முடிவுக்குப் போவோம்!

madhi kettu aRavaadi, mayangi, aRak
gadhikettu, avamE kedavO kadavEn
nadhi puththira ! nyaana sukaadhiba ath
thidhi puththirar veeRu adu sEvaganE !
Vedaant: Hi Apurva, this verse is the “Safety Valve.” After experiencing the high of the Divine Union in the previous verses, Arunagirinathar feels a very human fear: “What if I lose this feeling? What if I slip back into my old, confused ways?”
Apurva: The first line is quite dark: “Madhi kettu ara vaadi mayangi.” It sounds like someone having a mental breakdown.
Vedaant: It’s exactly that. It’s the state of losing your intellect (Madhi kettu), feeling withered by grief (Vaadi), and being utterly deluded (Mayangi).
Apurva: Oh! What does “Kadhi kettu avame kedavo kadaven?” mean ?
Vedaant: He asks, “Gadhi kettu avame kedavo kadaven?”. What he means is “Am I destined to lose my spiritual direction (Gadhi) and perish in vain? Is that my fate?” He asks as a pure devotee with all rights, “Would you put me in that state again?”
Apurva: Looks like Arunagiri is blackmailing Muruga ! He’s saying, “I’ve chosen You as my Destination; therefore, You are responsible for making sure I don’t get lost on the way.”
Vedaant: Precisely. He’s holding the Divine accountable. He addresses Muruga as “Nadhiputhra”—Son of the River Ganga, and “Gnana Sugadipha”—the Sovereign of the Bliss that comes from Wisdom.
Apurva: And what about the part about the “sons of Diti”?
Vedaant: That’s the “Warrior” reference. He calls Muruga the one who destroyed the arrogance of the Asuras (the sons of Diti) to save the Gods. He’s saying, “If You could save the Heavens from external demons, surely You can save my mind from the internal demons of doubt, depression, and confusion.”
Apurva: I see. What a powerful petition by Arunagirinathar. Also it sounds like a prayer for Spiritual Consistency. “Don’t let me be a hero one day and a confused wreck the next.” . Beatiful Vedaant. What is today’s takeaway ?
Vedaant: That’s quite right Apurva. Today’s takeaway:
- The Fear of Regression: Even the greatest saints worry about losing their spiritual focus. It is okay to feel vulnerable and ask God for “Mental Insurance.”
- The Sovereign of Bliss: Muruga isn’t just a god of war; He is the “Suga-Adhipa”—the one who manages the joy of our soul.
- The Call for Protection: This verse is a shield. When you feel “Madhi kettu” (mindless) or “Vaadi” (withered), this is the verse you chant to regain your strength.
Apurva: “Am I destined to perish in vain?”—asking that question actually makes me feel more determined not to let it happen!
Vedaant: (Laughs) That’s the spirit! Devotion is knowing that you aren’t born to waste away. You are born for Bliss. See you tomorrow for the grand final verse!
