கந்தர் அனுபூதி – பாடல் 20 நாள் 20
வடிவும் தனமும் மனமும் குணமும்
குடியும் குலமும் குடிபோகியவா,
அடிஅந்தம் இலா அயில்வேல் அரசே!
மிடி என்றொரு பாவி வெளிப்படினே!
வேதாந்த்: அபூர்வா, இன்னைக்கு பாட்டு ஒரு முக்கியமான பாடத்தைச் சொல்லுது. நம்மகிட்ட இருக்குற அழகு, அறிவு, பணம் இதெல்லாம் எப்பவும் நம்ம கூடவே இருக்கும்னு நாம நினைப்போம். ஆனா ஒரு சின்ன விஷயம் வந்தா இது எல்லாமே காணாமப் போயிருமாம்.
அபூர்வா: என்னது? ‘காக்டெய்ல்’ (Cocktail) மாதிரி எல்லாத்தையும் சேர்த்து லிஸ்ட் போடுறாரே? அழகு, பணம், மனம், குணம்… இதெல்லாம் எப்போ காணாமப் போகும்? ஏதாச்சும் ‘நேச்சுரல் டிசாஸ்டர்’ (Natural Disaster) வரப்போகுதா?
வேதாந்த்: (சிரிக்கிறான்) இல்லடா! அந்தப் பெரிய எதிரிக்கு பேரு “மிடி”. மிடி-ன்னா வறுமை அல்லது கஷ்டம்னு அர்த்தம். “மிடி என்றொரு பாவி வெளிப்படினே” – அப்படின்னு அருணகிரிநாதர் சொல்றாரு. அதாவது, ஒருத்தருக்கு கஷ்டம் வந்துட்டா அவரோட “வடிவம்” (அழகு), “தனம்” (செல்வம்), “மனம்” (நிம்மதி), “குணம்” (நல்ல குணம்) எல்லாமே அவனை விட்டு ஓடிப்போயிருமாம்!
அபூர்வா: ஆமா வேதாந்த், கஷ்டம் வரும்போது மனுஷங்க ரொம்ப மாறிடுவாங்க. நல்ல குணம் இருந்தவங்க கூட கோபப்படுவாங்க. ஆனா இதுக்குத் தீர்வு என்ன?
வேதாந்த்: “அடி அந்தம் இலா அயில்வேல் அரசே!” – தொடக்கமும் முடிவும் இல்லாத (Infinite) அந்த கூர்மையான வேலை ஏந்துன அரசே முருகா! அப்படின்னு கூப்பிடுறாரு. “இந்த கஷ்டம் வந்து என் நிம்மதியைத் திருடுறதுக்கு முன்னாடி நீ வந்து என்னைக் காப்பாற்று” அப்படின்னு சரணடையுறாரு.
அபூர்வா: புரியுது! அதாவது கஷ்டம் வரும்போது நாம நம்மளோட சுயத்தை (Identity) இழந்துடாம இருக்க, முருகனோட அந்த ‘பவர்ஃபுல் வேல்’ வேணும்னு சொல்றியா?
வேதாந்த்: கரெக்ட்! அந்த ‘மிடி’ங்கிற பாவி உள்ளே வந்தா, நாம இவ்வளவு நாள் வளர்த்து வச்ச ‘குடி’ (கௌரவம்), ‘குலம்’ (பரம்பரை பெருமை) எல்லாமே ‘குடிபோகியவா’ – அதாவது காலி ஆகிடுமாம். அதனால அந்த கஷ்டத்தையே வேரோடு அறுக்க முருகனை வேண்டிக்கணும்.
அபூர்வா: புரியுது.
வேதாந்த்: good அபூர்வா. இன்னைக்கு Takeaway.
- நிம்மதி திருடன்: கஷ்டம் என்பது நம்முடைய பணத்தை மட்டும் திருடுவதில்லை, நம்முடைய நல்ல குணத்தையும் நிம்மதியையும் கூட திருடிவிடும்.
- வேல் துணை: வாழ்க்கையில் வறுமையோ கஷ்டமோ வரும்போது நாம் நம்முடைய அடையாளத்தை இழந்துவிடாமல் இருக்க, இறைவனின் துணை (முருகனின் வேல்) அவசியம். அதுவே நம்முடைய குணத்தைக் காப்பாற்றும்.
அபூர்வா: ஓகே வேதாந்த்! இனிமேல் எந்தக் கஷ்டம் வந்தாலும் என் ‘குணம்’ குடிபோகாம இருக்க, நான் முருகனை ‘ஸ்ட்ராங்கா’ புடிச்சுக்கிறேன்!
வேதாந்த்: (சிரிக்கிறான்) அதுதான் புத்திசாலித்தனம். அந்த வேல் இருந்தா எந்த துன்பமும் உன்னை ஒன்னும் பண்ணாது. நாளைக்கு 21-வது பாட்டுல சந்திப்போம்!

vadivum thanamum manamum guNamum
kudiyum kulamum kudibOgiyavA,
adi andham ilA ayilvEl arasE!
midi endRoru pAvi veLippadinE!
Vedaant: Apurva, today’s verse is a reality check. We often think our beauty, wealth, and character are permanent. But Arunagirinathar says all of these can vanish in a heartbeat if one specific enemy enters our life.
Apurva: Wait, he’s listing everything—beauty, money, mind, character… What is this “Super Villain” that can destroy all of these at once? Is it a global financial crash or something?
Vedaant: (Laughs) Close! He calls it “Midi”. It means poverty, not just of money, but a poverty of spirit or extreme hardship. He says, “Midi endroru paavi velippadine”. If this “Sinner called Hardship” shows up, your beauty (Vadivu), wealth (Dhanam), peace of mind (Manam), and even your good character (Gunam) will pack their bags and leave!
Apurva: That’s so true, Vedaant. When people are under extreme stress or hardship, they change. Even the nicest people can become bitter or lose their sense of self. So, what’s the fix?
Vedaant: He calls out: “Adi andham ilaa ayilvel arase!” He’s calling Muruga, the King who holds the sharp Spear that has no beginning or end. He’s asking Muruga to intervene before this hardship ruins his soul and his dignity.
Apurva: I see! So he’s saying that to keep our integrity and peace intact during tough times, we need the protection of that “Infinite Spear”?
Vedaant: Exactly. He says that when hardship strikes, even your family reputation (Kudi) and lineage (Kulam) can disappear (Kudibogiyavaa). By holding onto Muruga, we ensure that no matter what external “Midi” comes, our internal “Gunam” (character) remains unshakable.
Apurva: Ok, understood.
Vedaant: Good. Todays’ Takeaway.
- The Erosion of Self: Hardship doesn’t just affect your bank account; it can erode your beauty, your peace, and your character. It’s a “sinner” that steals who you are.
- Infinite Protection: By seeking the Lord of the “Beginingless and Endless Spear,” you find a source of strength that keeps you grounded. Divine Grace ensures that external poverty doesn’t lead to internal poverty.
