கந்தர் அனுபூதி – பாடல் 39 நாள் 39
ஆதாளியை, ஒன்று அறியேனை, அறத்
தீது ஆளியை, ஆண்டது செப்பும் அதோ
கூதாள கிராத குலிக்கு இறைவா!
வேதாள கணம் புகழ் வேலவனே!
வேதாந்த்: அபூர்வா, இன்னைக்கு பாட்டுல அருணகிரிநாதர் தன்னையே ரொம்பத் தாழ்த்திப் பேசிக்கிறாரு. ஆனா அதுக்குள்ள ஒரு பெரிய நன்றி கலந்த ஆச்சரியம் இருக்கு.
அபூர்வா: ஏன் வேதாந்த்? அவர் தான் இவ்வளவு பெரிய ஞானியாச்சே, அவர் ஏன் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்திக்கணும்?
வேதாந்த்: அங்கதான் அவரோட பணிவு இருக்கு. “ஆதாளியை ஒன்று அறியேனை அறத் தீதாளியை ஆண்டது செப்புமதோ” – அதாவது, “ஒண்ணுமே தெரியாதவன் நான், வெட்டிப் பேச்சு பேசுறவன் (ஆதாளி), அதுமட்டும் இல்லாம ரொம்பத் தீயவன் (தீதாளி)… அப்படிப்பட்ட என்னை நீ தடுத்தாட்கொண்டாயே… இதைப் பத்தி நான் என்னன்னு சொல்லுவேன்?” அப்படின்னு கேக்குறாரு.
அபூர்வா: வாவ்! “எனக்குத் தகுதியே இல்லனாலும் நீ என்னை உன் அடியவனா ஏத்துக்கிட்டியே”ன்னு நெகிழ்ந்து போறாரா? ஆனா முருகனை இங்க எப்படி வர்ணிக்கிறாரு?
வேதாந்த்: “கூதாள கிராதகுலிக்கு இறைவா” – கூதாளம்ங்கிற மலரை விரும்பி அணியுற, வேடர் குலப் பெண்ணான வள்ளிக்குத் தலைவனே! அப்படின்னு சொல்றாரு. வள்ளியைத் தேடிப் போய் காதலிச்ச முருகனுக்கு, தகுதியைப் பார்க்கத் தெரியாது, அன்பை மட்டும் தான் பார்க்கத் தெரியும்னு சொல்ல வர்றாரு.
அபூர்வா: சூப்பர் வேதாந்த்! “வேதாள கணம் புகழ் வேலவனே” அப்படின்னு ஒரு வரி வருதே, அதுக்கு என்ன அர்த்தம்?
வேதாந்த்: போர்க்களத்துல இருக்குற வேதாளங்கள் எல்லாம் புகழுற அளவுக்கு வீரம் கொண்ட வேலவன் அப்படின்னு அர்த்தம். அதாவது, ஒரு பக்கம் வேதாளங்களே பயப்படுற அளவுக்கு வீரமா இருந்தாலும், இன்னொரு பக்கம் தகுதியே இல்லாத எனக்கும், குறத்தி வள்ளிக்கும் அருள் செய்யுற அளவுக்கு கருணை உள்ளம் கொண்டவன் அப்படின்னு முருகனோட ரெண்டு பக்கங்களையும் அழகாச் சொல்றாரு.
அபூர்வா: வாவ் ! ஆசம் ! ஆசம் ! ம்.. இன்னைக்கு என்ன பாடம் ?
வேதாந்த்: இன்றைக்கு Takeaway:
- இறைவனின் கருணை: நாம் எவ்வளவு குறைகள் உடையவர்களாக இருந்தாலும், உண்மையான சரணாகதி அடைந்தால் இறைவன் நம்மை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார். அவர் நம் தகுதியைப் பார்ப்பதில்லை, நம் தாகத்தைத் தான் பார்க்கிறார்.
- அன்பே அடிப்படை: வேடர் குல வள்ளியைத் தேடிச் சென்ற அதே முருகன் தான், நம்மைத் தேடியும் வருவார். அதற்குத் தேவை அன்பும் பணிவும் மட்டுமே.
அபூர்வா: ஓகே வேதாந்த்! “எனக்குத் தகுதி இல்லை”ன்னு கவலைப்படாம, “முருகா, உன் கருணை பெருசு”ன்னு நம்பி அவர் பின்னாடி போக வேண்டியதுதான்!
வேதாந்த்: கரெக்ட்! அந்த அசைக்க முடியாத நம்பிக்கை தான் நம்மைக் கரையேத்தும் அபூர்வா. நாளைக்கு 40-வது பாட்டுல சந்திப்போம்!
முருகா சரணம் !

aadhaaLiyai, ondru aRiyEnai, aRath
theedhu aaLiyai, aaNdadhu seppumadhO !
koodhaaLa kiraadha kulikku iRaivaa !
vEdhaaLa gaNam pugazh vElavanE !
Vedaant: Apurva, in today’s verse, Arunagirinathar speaks with extreme humility. But beneath that humility is a deep sense of gratitude and wonder.
Apurva: Why is that, Vedaant? He is such a great saint; why would he put himself down?
Vedaant: That is his greatness—his total lack of ego. He says: “Aadhaaliyai ondru ariyaenai ara theedhaaliyai aandadhu seppumadho”. He calls himself a “loudmouth” (Aadhaali), an “ignorant person” (Ondru ariyaen), and even a “sinner” (Theedhaali). He wonders, “How can I even describe the mystery of You accepting someone as unworthy as me?”
Apurva: Wow! So he’s saying, “Even though I have zero qualifications, You still took me under Your wing?” Great. How does he describe Muruga in this context?
Vedaant: He calls Him “Koothaala kiraadhakulikku iraivaa”. The Lord of Valli, the tribal girl who wears the Koothalam flower. By mentioning Valli, he hints that Muruga doesn’t care about status or qualifications; He only looks for pure love.
Apurva: That’s beautiful. And what about the line “Vedhaala ganam pugazh Velavane”?
Vedaant: It means the “Velan” (Muruga) who is praised by the fierce Vedhaalam (ghostly spirits) on the battlefield. He is contrasting Muruga’s terrifying power—praised by spirits—with His extreme gentleness that bows down to a simple tribal girl and a humble sinner like him.
Apurva: I see! It’s like saying, “You are the King of the universe, yet You have time for someone like me.”. Simply superb !
Vedaant: Correct Apurva. Today’s Takeaway:
- Unconditional Grace: God doesn’t look for a perfect “resume” or high qualifications. Even if we feel ignorant or flawed, sincere surrender is enough for Him to accept us. He doesn’t look at our worth; He looks at our thirst for Him.
- The Reach of Love: By mentioning Valli (the tribal girl), Arunagirinathar reminds us that Muruga goes where there is love. If He could go into the forest for Valli, He will surely come into our hearts if we are humble and devoted.
Apurva: Got it, Vedaant! From now on, instead of worrying that “I’m not good enough,” I’ll just trust that Muruga’s Grace is big enough to cover all my flaws!
