கந்தர் அனுபூதி – பாடல் 16 நாள் 16
முருகன் குமரன் குகன் என்று மொழிந்து
உருகும் செயல்தந்து உணர்வு என்று அருள்வாய்
பொரு புங்கவரும் புவியும் பரவும்
குருபுங்கவ எண்குண பஞ்சரனே!
வேதாந்த்: அபூர்வா, நேத்து நாம புலன்களை எப்படி அடக்குறதுன்னு பார்த்தோம்ல? இன்னைக்கு பாட்டுல, அந்த அடக்கத்துக்கு அப்புறம் மனசுல எதை நிரப்பணும்னு அருணகிரிநாதர் முருகன்கிட்ட ஒரு உருக்கமான வேண்டுதல் வைக்கிறாரு.
அபூர்வா: ஓ! புலன்களை அடக்கிட்டோம், இப்போ அந்த காலி இடத்துல எதைச் சேர்க்கப் போறோம்? மறுபடியும் ஏதாச்சும் ‘மைண்ட்-பெண்டிங்’ தத்துவமா?
வேதாந்த்: (சிரிக்கிறான்) இல்லடா, இது ரொம்ப சிம்பிள். “முருகன், குமரன், குகன்” – இந்த மூணு பெயர்களைச் சொல்லும்போதே மனசு உருகணுமாம். “உருகும் செயல் தந்து உணர்வு என்று அருள்வாய்” – அதாவது, “உன் பெயரைச் சொன்னாலே என் மனசு மெழுகு மாதிரி உருகணும் முருகா, அந்த மாதிரி ஒரு பக்தியையும், உண்மையான உணர்வையும் எனக்குக் கொடு”ன்னு கேக்குறாரு.
அபூர்வா: வாவ்! மனசு உருகுறதுன்னா… எமோஷனல் ஆகி அழறதா? இல்ல ஒரு மாதிரி ‘டிவைன்’ ஃபீலிங் (Divine Feeling) வர்றதா?
வேதாந்த்: ரெண்டுமேதான்! அன்புல மனசு கரைஞ்சாதான் அந்த முருகனோட ‘உணர்வு’ நமக்குள்ள வரும். அவரை எப்படித் துதிக்கிறாரு பாரு… “குருபுங்கவ எண்குண பஞ்சரனே”. அதாவது தேவர்களும் (புங்கவர்), இந்த உலகத்துல இருக்குற மக்களும் வணங்குற சிறந்த குருவே! எட்டு குணங்களை உடையவனே! அப்படின்னு புகழுறாரு.
அபூர்வா: எட்டு குணங்களா? அது என்னென்ன? முருகருக்கு ‘சூப்பர் பவர்ஸ்’ எட்டு இருக்குன்னு சொல்றியா?
வேதாந்த்: (சிரிக்கிறான்) ஆமா! தன்வயத்தனாதல், தூய உடம்பினனாதல், இயற்கை உணர்வினனாதல், முற்றும் உணர்தல், இயல்பாகவே பாசங்களின் நீங்குதல், பேரருள் உடைமை, முடிவிலா ஆற்றல் உடைமை, வரம்பிலா இன்பமுடைமை – இதுதான் அந்த எட்டு குணங்கள்.
அபூர்வா: அப்பாடா! இவ்வளவு பவர் இருக்குற ஒருத்தர் நமக்கு ‘குருவா’ கிடைச்சா, அப்புறம் என்ன கவலை? ஆனா இந்த பெயர்களைச் சொன்னாலே ஏன் மனசு உருகணும்?
வேதாந்த்: ஏன்னா, அந்தப் பெயர்களுக்குள்ள அவ்வளவு அன்பு இருக்கு. ‘முருகன்’னா அழகு, ‘குமரன்’னா இளமை, ‘குகன்’னா நம்ம மனசுக்குள்ள இருக்குற குகையில குடியிருக்கறவன்னு அர்த்தம். இந்த அழகையும், அன்பையும் நினைச்சா மனசு தானா உருகும்ல?
அபூர்வா: புரியுது வேதாந்த்! “லாஜிக்” பேசிட்டு இருக்குறதை விட, அன்பால முருகனை அணுகுறதுதான் ஈஸியான வழின்னு அருணகிரிநாதர் நமக்குச் சொல்லிக் கொடுக்கிறாரு!
வேதாந்த்: கரெக்ட். Takeaway for today.
- உருகும் பக்தி: வெறும் வார்த்தைகளாக மந்திரங்களைச் சொல்லாமல், மனதார உணர்ந்து முருகனின் பெயரைச் சொன்னால், அந்த அன்பிலேயே பாதி ஞானம் கிடைத்துவிடும்.
- எண்குணங்கள்: இறைவன் எல்லையற்ற ஆற்றல் கொண்டவர் (எண்குணன்) என்று உணரும்போது, நம்முடைய கவலைகள் எல்லாம் சிறியதாகத் தோன்றும்.
அபூர்வா: ஓகே வேதாந்த்! இனிமேல் நானும் “முருகன், குமரன், குகன்”னு ட்ரை பண்ணிப் பார்க்குறேன். என் மனசு உருகுதான்னு பார்ப்போம்!
வேதாந்த்: கண்டிப்பா உருகும்! ஆனா அந்த உருக்கத்துல நீயும் கரைஞ்சு போகாம இரு! நாளைக்கு 17-வது பாட்டுல சந்திப்போம்!

Vedaant: Look Apurva, yesterday we talked about controlling the senses, right? In today’s verse, Arunagirinathar makes a heartfelt request to Muruga about what to fill that space with.
Apurva: Oh! We shut the five doors, now what are we stocking up on? Is it another mind-bending philosophy?
Vedaant: (Laughs) Not at all, this one is pure emotion. He says: “Murugan, Kumaran, Guhan endru mozhindhu”. He wants his heart to melt the moment he says these three names. He asks, “Grant me the state where my heart melts like wax and let me feel Your true presence.”
Apurva: Wow! Melting heart? Does that mean getting all emotional and crying, or is it more like a “divine vibe”?
Vedaant: Both! When the heart dissolves in love, that’s when you truly “feel” Muruga. He calls Him “Gurupungava Enguna Panjarane”. This means the supreme Guru worshiped by the Devas and humans alike, who possesses the “Eight Divine Attributes.”
Apurva: Eight attributes? Like eight specific super-powers? What are they?
Vedaant: Exactly! They are: Self-existence, Purity, Natural Wisdom, Infinite Knowledge, Freedom from attachments, Infinite Grace, Boundless Power, and Endless Bliss.
Apurva: Man, if someone with those powers is our Guru, what’s there to worry about? But why should the names specifically make the heart melt?
Vedaant: Because of the depth in those names. ‘Muruga’ means beauty, ‘Kumaran’ means eternal youth, and ‘Guhan’ means the one who lives in the cave of our hearts. When you think about such beauty and love living inside you, how can your heart not melt?
Apurva: I get it now, Vedaant. Instead of just debating logic, Arunagirinathar is teaching us that “melting with love” is the shortest path to the Divine!
Vedaant: Correct. Takeaway for today
- Melting Devotion: Don’t just chant names like a robot. When you call out “Muruga” with a heart full of love, that devotion itself becomes the gateway to wisdom.
- Infinite Power: Realizing that your Guru/God possesses infinite power and grace (the Eight Attributes) gives you the ultimate security and peace of mind.
Apurva: Got it, Vedaant! I’m going to try chanting “Murugan, Kumaran, Guhan” and see if my heart starts melting.
Vedaant: It definitely will! Just try not to completely dissolve before we finish the series. See you tomorrow for Verse 17!
